University of Texas Austin Announces Open Rank Position in Special Education

Faculty Position
Department of Special Education

Position: The Department of Special Education, The University of Texas at Austin, seeks applicants with expertise in the area of “Behavior Disorders” or “Special Education Administration” for a Tenure Track Position. We are seeking an individual who will: teach undergraduate and graduate courses; maintain an active program of scholarship; write grants; engage in multidisciplinary program development activities; and recruit, advise, and mentor students.

Requirements:
1. A doctorate in special education or a related field;
2. Evidence of scholarly productivity and an active program of research/scholarship;
3. A record demonstrating excellence in teaching;

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in working with multicultural populations
2. Success in securing external funds;
3. At least three years professional experience
.
Rank and Salary: The successful applicant will be appointed in the Department of Special Education. The rank is open (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor – appointments at the Associate or Full Professor Level will be with Tenure) Salaries and benefits at The University of Texas at Austin are competitive and are based on a 9-month academic appointment. The University provides a competitive benefits program.
